Personal Interests

Dr. Harrison enjoys spending time with her family and exploring the Houston Heights local parks and eateries. She and her family love to explore by bicycle along the Houston Hike and Bike trail. She is an active member of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in the Heights and serves on the school board for St. Andrew’s Episcopal School. Volunteer service and involvement in the community is a strong part of her identity and she donates her time and efforts to serve her community through the Junior League of Houston.

Biography

Dr. Jaclyn Harrison grew up in the Houston area where she attended the University of Texas Medical School at Houston. After completing her residency training in internal medicine at Georgetown University Hospital, she returned to her Texas roots to treat acutely ill patients at Memorial Hermann hospital- TMC campus.  With a focus on clinical patient care, she was also an associate professor of internal medicine for the University of Texas at Houston, teaching future doctors the practice of internal medicine in the clinical setting. She also served as the education chief of a large hospital medicine group of physicians at Memorial Hermann Hospital, striving to stay at the cutting edge of evidence-based medicine. For the past 2 years, she has worked as a hospital-based physician at Memorial Hermann-Greater Heights, providing clinical care and patient flow management as associate medical director for the hospital-based physicians on that campus. Dr. Harrison lives in the Houston Heights with her husband and two children and is focused on bringing top-notch and personalized medical care to local Houstonians
